Lucy Mulroney is Director of Collections, Research, and Education at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. She provides vision and leadership for collection development, research initiatives and fellowships, and the library’s education program, exhibitions, and publications. Lucy joined Yale in 2018 from the Special Collections Research Center at Syracuse University Libraries, where she was senior director from 2015 to 2018, and before that interim director and curator.

Her writing and research interests include modern and contemporary art and the intersections of bodily experience, privacy, and the archive. She holds a Ph.D. in Visual and Cultural Studies from the University of Rochester. She is the author of Andy Warhol, Publisher (2018), and numerous essays. She has given talks on her research at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London; MoMA PS1; the Whitney Museum; the Morgan Library; and the Emily Harvey Foundation, among other venues. Most recently she edited a cluster of essays entitled The After Archive for P45.
